Computer vision researchers will gather in Malmö, Sweden, for ECCV 2026 from September 8 to 12. Workshops and tutorials take place during the first two days, followed by the main conference and Expo from September 10 to 12.
BasicAI will be at Booth 14 throughout the Expo. We want to hear what AI teams are building, how they work with data, and where annotation gets difficult. We will also have a few small gifts for visitors.

What is ECCV?
The European Conference on Computer Vision, or ECCV, is a biennial research conference managed by the European Computer Vision Association. The first ECCV was held in Antibes, France, in 1990. Since then, it has connected computer vision researchers from academia and industry every two years.
ECCV gives researchers several ways to present and discuss their work. Technical papers appear in oral, poster, and spotlight sessions. Keynotes and panels address broader research questions. Workshops and tutorials leave more time for detailed discussion of specific methods and applications.
The conference also connects research with working systems. Technical demonstrations let attendees interact with computer vision methods. At the Expo, researchers and engineers can talk directly with tech providers and teams applying computer vision in products and business settings.
The previous conference, ECCV 2024, brought together more than 6,700 participants. It included over 2,000 posters and 82 combined workshops and tutorials, with attendees from 77 countries and regions.
What is happening at ECCV 2026?
September 8 and 9 are dedicated to workshops and tutorials. Each session focuses on a specific area of computer vision and leaves room for detailed technical discussion.

The Doctoral Consortium connects late-stage PhD students and recent graduates with experienced researchers. Speed Mentoring gives students another opportunity to discuss research and career questions with senior researchers from academia and industry.
The ECCV Art Gallery includes work that uses computer vision, AI, images, video, sound, and other creative forms. Accepted work will be displayed during the main conference from September 10 to 12.
Accepted papers and ECCV awards
ECCV 2024 named a Best Paper, two Best Paper Honorable Mentions, and a group of award candidates.
The preliminary list of accepted ECCV 2026 papers is now available and remains subject to publisher checks. Each accepted work usually follows months or years of experiments, analysis, writing, review, and revision.
